Missing Daddy

This next week is going to be a long one. Jon left today on a youth mission trip to help hurricane victims rebuild their homes and lives. We are proud of his work, but believe me, we will be missing him like crazy while we root him on!

 Even Abby is giving daddy her best paw slam, but will miss snuggling at his feet at night.

Owen will probably ask my every night and morning, "Daddy??" And he will probably walk around the house throughout the day asking, "Daddy, are you??" ( Daddy, where are you). Sadly, he will not find him behind this column...

We stayed busy today by playing outside.

It kinda went like this....Owen had his new favorite outdoor "toy" in hand...

...and mommy was snapping away with her new Nikon 7000 (So exciting!!!) A bit scary considering the lack of control a two year old possess while operating a pressurized hose. I'm sure we will find more dangerous but fun things to do over the next five days until our man of the house returns. Until then, follow us and see what adventures two out of the three Smallings will encounter. Sometimes it is OK to be a follower!
